challenge

Sustainability in tourism is often reduced to marketing rather than measurable action. NEOM Tourism sought to change this with a platform to make impact visible, engaging, and rewarding for visitors.

The challenge was to transform sustainability into a tangible part of the journey, while positioning NEOM as a global pioneer in regenerative tourism.

approach

We convened experts in AI, carbon offsetting, social sciences, and tourism to define the platform roadmap.

Through structured workshops we generated 250+ ideas, shaping 37 concepts and 33 strategic initiatives across travel inspiration, impact education, gamification, and social advocacy.

Digital features included AI-driven itinerary planning, real-time impact tracking, interactive learning, and behavioural nudges.

impact

The roadmap provided NEOM with a clear commercial and operational path for the platform, aligning leadership around partnerships, product development, and marketing.

It positioned the platform as a core pillar of NEOM’s tourism offer, strengthening competitiveness, creating new investment opportunities, and embedding measurable sustainability into visitor journeys in ways that drive both adoption and long-term brand value.
